Menemsha Public Beach
Arguably the best public beach on the island, Menemsha Public Beach is located within walking distance of Menemsha Harbor making great for the day at the beach and then a night out on the town. The beach draws people all summer long and is especially popular for its colorful sunset and one of the few places on the east coast where the sun sets over the sea.
Lucy Vincent Beach
This private beach is Chilmark's best spot for waves, as the surf rolls into the south side of the island from the open Atlantic.
Another beach reserved for Chilmark residents during the summer, Squibnocket Beach is located in the southwestern most section of the town. This beach is also a great spot for surfers and others who enjoy waves.
